Offside
People with schizophrenia live with a stigma that identifies them as dangerous, unpredictable, and therefore a potential threat to society. It is a conception that over time has been reinforced by cinema, literature, and the media. In the press, it is very easy to read headlines like "A schizophrenic kills his mother". The media tend to link the diagnosis with the act itself. But, in most cases, the disorders are not the reason. Most people with mental disorders are victims, not the ones responsible for the violence.
